Halloween collection

I love halloween decorations and anything fall. This year I wasn't quite in the mood to do much decorating though. I probably only put out a third of my halloween decorations. Most of my stuff has been found at Target, and TJ Maxx and Marshalls over the years. And some of it is handmade too. I have a few vintage pieces but most of the vintage halloween things are out of my price range.

I"M BACK!

I"m back finally! Alot has been going on in our family the past couple of months. I guess the saddest thing is that Nick came back from Iraq and called off the engagement and wedding three weeks before it was supposed to happen. As you can imagine we were all heartbroken. He and Megan were still talking for awhile afterward, so we were hopeful thing would work out and that he just had cold feet. Well as it turns out, he is not the boy we thought he was, and the things he did to my girl the past few weeks are just cruel and twisted. He came home last week on leave and led her to believe they would work things out, then he headed back to alaska., and she heard from him again yesterday, on what would have been their wedding day. He basically cussed her out because I had the nerve to send him a bill for the wedding deposits that I have been out, all non refundable. Then he messaged me saying he was not paying for any of it, and that he was now married to someone else! I don't know if he said that to further hurt megan or if its true. NO matter, its messed up. So I am praising GOD today for saving my baby from that nut job! She was a good and faithful fiance, and for that he was mean and hateful to her.
Shes trying to move on with her life and get college all figure out for fall semester next year. In the meantime, shes looking for a job to keep her occupied till then.
Wesley, my son, has moved out on his own! Yippee! He is buying a house, which btw is amazing! ITs a older home that needs lots of TLC, but so big and he got a great deal on it. YES! I am getting my house back to myself! hee-hee! Can't wait to decorate it!!
WHen megan goes to college in the fall, I'll get her room too. Shes planning to get an apt and get a job, so doubt she will be moving back home either. Then I'll have a empty nest. I've been wrapped up in my kids for so long, i don't know what i'm going to do with all my free time!!
I plan to get back to decorating my home again, and doing some home improvement projects soon! I'd also like to get back into making my dolls and stitcherys for sale, and maybe doing a few antique shows again. Those things make me happy and i miss that!
Tomorrow, i'll post pics of my halloween decor :)

Stay at home moms?

I've been purusing some of my favorite inspirational blogs today http://www.sugarpiefarmhouse.com/

These girls really make me wish I could stay home and be a full time mom and housewife again.

I'm curious how many of you are stay at home moms/wifes, and if you do work, how do you get it all done? When I was a stay at home mom, my home was always decorated so cute, and I felt like cooking and cleaning. Now that I work six days a week, I have ideas, but no energy to do it. Seems like we eat out all the time, because I don't feel like cooking anymore. I feel like I"m in a slump, and can't get out! Help! I feel guilty because I don't think I"m the mom/wife I should be, but just too tired sometimes to care :(

WOW! I'm floored! Loser Monday :)

Okay, i have purposely not weighed myself in months, because I didn't want to discourage myself in anyway. I still haven't gotten to the exercise part, but i've really cut down on snacking and eating so much. I have one big meal a day for lunch, then something light for dinner. According to my scale, i've lost about 20lbs so far! Yippee! I knew my clothes were fitting alot better, but I had no clue I had lost so much! I am doing a happy dance for sure :)

Update shattered dreams

Megan didn't get any pictures of the 'accident'. She wasn't too impressed with any of that, the kids and parents acting were way over the top.....However, the next day, was the one that got to the kids. Megan said there wasnt a dry eye in the auditorium. THey had the kids speak that were involved in the accident. The kids that were 'injured' were actually taken to the hospital via ambulance. They were treated like they were corpuses. The nurses cleaned them up, and covered them with a sheet. They were to lie still and not move. A dr told their parents that they had died in the accident, and the parents had to view their body. It was too real for some of the parents and they actually cried. The kids stayed overnight, and the nurses had them do 'exercises' through out the night. They had to video things they would like to say to their parents if they had died that night. THe kids said it was the hardest thing they had to do.
THe girl who was the 'drunk driver', is a very good girl who has never had anything to drink, makes straight A's ect. They chose her to show that it could happen to anyone, even good girls.....She was taken to jail! She had an opportunity to speak to young people who were serving time for drinking and driving. They actually put her in a cell overnight. She said it was VERY frightening. All these kids spoke about how it affected them and their parents spoke also. I think it was a wakeup call for alot of kids. A mother also spoke whose son had been killed by a drunk driver. That drunk driver also spoke. It was quite emotional.....
